The Erie Golden Blades supplied Erie fans with great hockey through the decade of the 80's. The Golden Blades reached
the ACHL Finals each year from 1983-1986, winning the championship in 1983-84. The following season marked the Erie
coaching debut of former Blade Ron Hansis. Ron would coach the Erie franchise into the 90's.
