John Tortorella played parts of two seasons for the Erie Blades, from 1982-84, notching 27 goals
and 74 points in 76 games. Tottorella finished out his playing career during the 1985-86 season with the Virginia Lancers.
After his playing days, Tortorella turned to coaching, with minor league stops in Virginia,
New Haven, and Rochester, and NHL duties with Buffalo (assistant), Phoenix (assistant), NY Rangers (assistant), and Head Coach
of Tampa Bay from 2001-2008.
Tortorella won a Stanley Cup with his 2003-04 Lightning team, and is currently the Head Coach of
the New York Rangers.
